General Terms and Conditions
In these Accommodation Terms and Conditions, “Ara Maris Hotel”, “we”, “our” or “us” collectively means:

“You” and “User” any individual or entity making a booking at our Hotel (directly or indirectly, through other means).
These “General Terms and Conditions apply to the booking of our Hotel. By making a booking of Hotel, by whatever means, guests agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
General Accommodation Booking Terms & Conditions
If you request a booking in our Hotel and we process that booking, it is implied that you accept (unconditionally):
a) our Privacy Policy,
b) if booking on one of our websites – the Legal Notice relating to website use displayed on that website,
c) these General Accommodation Booking Terms and Conditions (Terms and Conditions);
d) Hotel House Rules;
e) any other additional terms, notices, regulations, or/and instructions provided to you.
We recommend you carefully read these Terms and Conditions (as well as the above policies and conditions), before requesting or completing your booking at our Hotel.
Furthermore, we recommend you do so every time you make a booking at our Hotel, as we reserve the right to change, modify, add, or delete, part of these Terms and Conditions, at any time.
In these Terms and Conditions, a reference to a “operator” of a Hotel will be one of our entities and will be listed on your guest registration card (which will be available at check-in).
Foreign Currency
Conversion into foreign currency displayed on the website is given as an indication and is not the exact amount that will be charged to you for your booking. The only amount confirmed in the reservation confirmation is the amount you will be charged.
Reservation Confirmation
A booking in our Hotel becomes valid and binding on the relevant operator of the Hotel only after the reservation has been accepted by the operator of the Hotel, you have received an email confirmation, and we received a payment or pre-payment (if required). That is why for your reservation it will be necessary to provide the requested information, which will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Pricing Errors
We reserve the right to cancel reservations with manifest and evident errors in price or service at any point in time (at no cost to us). In such cases , we will offer you the option to make a new booking at the correct price and/or with the correct information.
Secured Payments
If you make a booking on one of our websites and you make a payment to us, it will be processed by a payment gateway system that collects your card information and encrypts it for later processing. In any case, the payment gateways that are used for this purpose, will be secure and comply with the necessary legal and technical requirements in order to make your payment secure.
Deposit
We may charge a pre-authorization deposit to your credit card to cover any incidental charges incurred by you or any damage you cause whilst staying at the Hotel. The time of the release of the funds is controlled by your bank. The amount of the deposit will be clearly communicated during check in process.
The pre-authorization will affect your available funds balance or spending limit. For more information on this practice we suggest contacting your bank for more information. Once a pre-authorization has been made, we cannot release, remove or lower the authorized amount, until we process the final account on departure.
Identification
Upon arrival at the Hotel, you must provide a valid and current passport or government issued identification card for security purposes (or such other identification we required). Your booking must be under the name of the person checking in to the Hotel.
Any credit card provided for the booking must match the identification card provided at check-in.

Children
Children over the age of 10 years old are accepted at our Hotel. They are required to be accompanied by their parents, authorized teachers or other duly authorized guardians.
The hotel may ask to provide relevant documentation confirming the accompanying child is accompanied by their parent, authorized teacher or other guardian.
Only adults may make bookings at our Hotel.
In case guests arrive at check-in with children under the age of 10, the hotel reserves the right to deny access and retain the full amount of the reservation.
No-show or early cancelation
Failure to provide prior notice of cancellation or non-show may result in a charge equivalent to the whole reservation stay, inclusive of VAT, GST or other taxes, to the credit card provided during the reservation process (unless otherwise provided for in these conditions).
Cancellation Policy
Each accommodation rate offered by us is subject to a specific cancellation policy. Failure to check in on the specified arrival date may incur a charge (if applicable). Any cancellation charge will be notified to you in your booking confirmation or as otherwise notified to us around the time of booking.
Reservations can be cancelled free of charge at any time before the end of the free cancellation period. Certain reservations are non-refundable and non-cancelable, in all such case credit card is charged at the time of booking/reservation. Entire stay amount including taxes will be charged in case of late cancellation or no show.
All reservations are to be guaranteed with credit card or advance payment or through company deposit, the hotel is authorized to charge no show retentions or charges per reservation in case of non-arrival of guest. The hotel is authorized to release a booking, if the pre-authorization declines for any reason.
Guarantee Policy
Your valid credit card is required at the time of booking and the same credit card must be presented at the time of check-in to the Hotel. We will not accept a credit card that is not in your name (i.e. the credit card name and booking must be in the same name). This is required to make a valid booking and check-in. We may refuse to check you into the Hotel if you do not provide this.
Insurance
We strongly recommend you purchase Comprehensive Travel Insurance that covers your accommodation costs (and any damage to the Hotel you cause). We suggest that the policy include, but not limited to, the following coverage – loss of payment through cancellation, loss or damage to personal baggage, damage to property, loss of money and medical expenses.
Privacy
When you make a booking with us and when you stay with us, we collect certain personal information from you. By making a booking you consent to your personal information being collected by us and for us to use that information in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy. Access to, and correction or deletion of, the personal information we collect from you is dealt with in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Your use of the Hotel
You agree to use the Hotel room in a reasonable manner in accordance with these Terms and Conditions during your stay and return the room to us at the end of your stay in the similar condition it was on check-in.
You further agree to be liable to us for the cost of repair for any damage you cause to the Hotel during your stay and any excessive cleaning required as a result of you leaving the room (or any part of the Hotel) in an excessively unclean state. The cost of such charges will be the costs we incur and cleaning will be charged at commercial rates.
You authorize us to take any charges or costs from your credit card pre-authorization (provided by you on check-in).
You also agree to comply with all signage at the Hotel (regarding your use of the Hotel) and any House Rules or similar rules and policies notified by us to you. For your safety and our other guest’s comfort, you also agree to comply with all reasonable directions of our staff at the Hotel, including in particular directions by our staff. In these Terms and Conditions, “House Rules” include all of the rules we notify you at check in that you must comply (if applicable). Our reception staff will have a copy of these rules for inspection upon check-in. You agree that in our where we notify you that there is a safe in your room, you must follow the policies of use and responsibility established in the hotel (following the directions on the safe for the use of the safe).
You agree not to take photographs or film any part of the Hotel for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. We remind you that is forbidden to take photographs or film other Hotel guests or staff without their express consent.
During your stay, we reserve the right to evict you from the Hotel if you are not complying with these Terms and Conditions, any House Rules, any directions from staff or we otherwise form the reasonable belief that your continued presence at the Hotel will cause us (or others) to suffer loss or damage, put the safety of you, us or others at risk, or will bring the Hotel into disrepute. If we evict you, the cost of the accommodation at the Hotel for all of your stay is non-refundable and you will be required to settle your account in full prior to departure (as well as any other costs we are entitled to receive or recover from you under these Terms and Conditions or as a part of your booking).
Facilities (availability and maintenance)
From time to time, features and facilities of our Hotel are unavailable or taken offline for repairs, maintenance or as directed by the owners of the Hotels.
If any feature/facility is essential for you in choosing our Hotel, we recommend contacting the Hotel prior to booking to ensure that feature or facility is available at the time of your booking. We will not be liable for omissions or errors, whether temporary or permanent, of the description of our Hotel’s facilities and services. Photos shown on our Website (or any other location) are indicative only and may not specifically represent the exact room/apartment allocated to you.
Destination images featured on our website may not represent the views offered from our locations.
Accommodation facilities listed may not apply to all room types.
Internet Access
We offer inclusive Wi-Fi internet access allowing customers to connect to the Internet. Our Wi-Fi is operated by a third party and we therefore take no liability or responsibility (whilst you are using our Internet network or Wi-Fi) for:
• the non-availability of the Internet network,
• the speed of the Internet network;
• the availability or access to websites;
• external intrusion;
• computer viruses you may obtain whilst using the network; or
• non-authorized online transactions or losses to you whilst using the network.
Updates
We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time by updating this web page. The revised terms will take effect when they are posted and will only apply to bookings made after the updates.
Precontractual Information
All bookings made through the Website are subject to the terms listed in the respective sections and do not include any terms that are not explicitly mentioned. During the booking process you will be provided with all the relevant information related to your booking in the Website.
If you make a booking on our Website and have the option to purchase or book additional services—either as part of a single transaction or in separate but related transactions—offered by us and/or the operator, and available outside the Hotel alongside the overnight stay, you will receive all relevant pre-contractual information and any specific terms and conditions applicable to these services on the booking page.
Contracting Procedure
The booking process is completed electronically through our Website. Prior registration by the User is not required. The contractual relationship between Hotel and the User is established as soon as the User completes the booking process. By finalizing the booking, you expressly agree to all of these Terms, which form an integral part of the agreement. The booking will be governed by the applicable rate conditions and relevant laws.

Early check-in or a late check-out may be applied upon request, subject to availability and additional fees.
Pets Policy
At this stage, no pets or animals are allowed to accompany you to our Hotels.
Children Policy
Ara Maris hotel is considered an adult hotel. Children under 10 years old are not accepted.
ID Requirement
For security purposes, a valid passport identification with address is required at check-in for all guests occupying the room. For Italian guest a valid identity card is required. A copy/scan for our record will be made of the document at check-in.
Late Checkout Policy
Late checkouts between 12 noon and before 4pm will be charged 50% of one night’s room rate. After 6pm, guests will be charged one night’s room rate.
Parking Policy
Ara Maris provides an external valet parking with a daily fee of 35 € for all overnight and visiting guests. Parking is at the owners' risk. Overnight parking is available only for in-house guests after stipulated security checks. The hotel is not liable in the case of theft of or damage to any parked vehicle(s).
Early Arrival Policy
Early arrivals before 9 AM will be charged one night’s room rate. Arrivals between 9 AM and 2PM will be charged at 50% of the room rate.
Facility Use Policy
Use of recreational facilities, such as the pool, gym, and spa, is governed by minimum age requirements. As a general guideline, these services can only be used or requested by guests 16 years of age and above. Guests 15 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Hotel is not liable to provide safety and security of any individual and it is considered that user is medically/physically fit and is trained before utilizing any hotel facility. Security Policy
For security reasons, all rooms will be checked once every 24 hours for occupation and usage. Duplicate keys to the guest room will not be issued without the presence of the registered guest(s), and only after the presentation of valid photo identification.
Hotel does strict CCTV camera monitoring and CCTV access is prohibited for guest viewing for any reason.
Ara Maris, its servants or agents, accept no responsibility for loss or damage of any nature, including as a result of negligent act or omission, to property belonging to guests, whether placed in the guest room safe or not or from any physical injuries suffered by the guest. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Guest rooms and floors are accessible to registered guest only. Visitors should be met in hotel public area and registered.
Smoking Policy
All internal public areas within the hotel are non-smoking and vaping free. Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated external areas. Smoking and vaping inside the rooms is strictly forbidden.
Smoking in Non-smoking area will attract a penalty of 300 € per occurrence per person. Interconnecting Room
Ara Maris has some interconnecting rooms that are subject to availability and request should be placed at the time of reservation. Allocation of interconnecting rooms is subject to availability on the day of arrival.
Payment Policy
At the time of Check in, Hotel will collect Room and taxes with approved Credit card provided at check in or alternative mode of payment provided for the entire stay reserved. In addition to stay charges, the hotel will take certain value of incidental charges to avoid any disruption or inconvenience during your stay.
Credit Card Policy
Physical presence of the credit card holder is mandatory to utilize the credit card at any point of sale at the hotel. Hotel does not accept cheque payments. By providing the credit card details at the time of reservation, you authorize the hotel to charge the card in case of no show or late cancellation.
Extra Bed / Extra Person Policy
One older child or adult is charged 200€ + taxes per person per night in an extra bed. The maximum number of extra beds permitted in a room is 1. Extra Person does not include any supplement inclusions of the rate to the third person.
Outside Food and Beverage Policy
Ara Maris does not allow outside food and beverages to be brought in the hotel, unless approved separately through written permission. Outside food and beverage, consumption by resident guests is considered on their risk and hotel will not be liable for any damage / inconvenience.
Guests are advised to take a personal driver or request for a cab/taxi, and are strictly prohibited to drink and drive, as per local laws. Guests failing to abide or not announce at the time of drinks service will be held individually responsible for failing to cooperate and mislead the hotel.
Visitor Policy
Ara Maris does not allow outside visitors, who are not registered with the hotel as occupants inside the guest room corridor or guest rooms. Guests’ meetings and entertainments are permitted in public areas or restaurants or pool area only.
Photo ID proof and extra occupancy charges are mandatory for registering additional guests. Price is 200€ per person and the number ox extra persons permitted is 1 per room.
Guest Room Usage
Storing of articles of combustible or hazardous in nature in the guest room is strictly prohibited. Usage of banned products or consumptions narcotic products / drugs is strictly prohibited. It is understood that guest room usage by guest is not for any activity not permitted under Italian laws.
We do not allow Poker chips/cards (Gambling), Bluetooth or Wired speakers, Hookah, Firearms / Weapons & Flammable items inside the hotel.
The client/guest agrees that he/she shall not engage neither willfully nor negligently allow any illegal activities, such as but not limited to, unlawful activities under local laws
Usage of Camera and Photography / Videography Equipment
Hotel does not allow professional cameras/ Drone(s) camera usage. Photography is prohibited unless written permission is granted. Photography, Commercial usage of photographs/videography within the hotel clicked at hotel is prohibited and is subject to written copyright approvals by the authorized representative of the hotel.
Guest Conduct
Ara Maris Hotel reserves the right of admission and entry of people entering the hotels facilities. In the unfortunate event that the client’s guests or their guests’ behavior become unacceptable and causes embarrassment or discomfort to others (guests or hotel staff) management of the hotel reserves the right to have the individual or individuals removed from the hotels premises.
Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction
That if any dispute or differences of opinion arise between the client / guests in relation to or in connection with Ara Maris, they will undertake negotiation in good faith with a view to resolve the matter. The parties here too shall endeavor to settle all disputes and differences relating to and/ or arising amicably.
If any dispute or difference shall at any time arise between the client/ guests relating to or arising out in relation to services and facilities offered by the hotel (whether during the stay/usage or upon or after its usage), and no amicable resolution or settlement is reached within a period of Thirty (30) days, such disputes and/or differences shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts. Subject to and governed by the laws of Italy.
